Conducted by Ms. Taylor Bland, Executive Functioning Foundations: Skills for Life and Work Coaching sessions focus on enhancing key executive function skills, essential for both children and young adults to thrive in and outside of the classroom or workspace. These coaching sessions target vital areas such as working memory, mental flexibility, and self-control.

 

The program is beneficial for those who:

 

  • Struggle with Working Memory: Need help holding and using information effectively.

  • Have Difficulty with Shifting: Want to improve your ability to change approaches or thought processes and move from task to task to meet goals.

  • Find it Hard to Inhibit Distractions: Need strategies to minimize distractions and stay on task.

  • Seek to Develop Self-Efficacy: Want to build cognitive and emotional competencies to execute behaviors that facilitate progress toward goals.

  • Need Help with Task Initiation and Monitoring: Struggle to start tasks and monitor progress during goal-setting and execution.

  • Have Trouble Planning and Organizing: Want to set goals and use a strategic approach to achieve them.​
